About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Electrical Design Technician to join its MEP team in West Columbia, South Carolina. The position creates and quality-checks drawings and plans of substantial complexity, may perform multifaceted calculations, and supports team quality control. The technician works with minimal supervision on day-to-day tasks, applies knowledge of engineering principles, maintains the drawing database, and may supervise and train CAD staff. The role also involves developing familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Detail-oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team-player approach, and self-starter mindset.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication and writing skills, and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred.
