About The Position

The Electrical Contractor Qualifier is responsible for ensuring the company qualifies as an Electrical Contractor (EC) in designated regions and adheres to all applicable regulations. This role requires obtaining and maintaining electrical licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements, and managing timely renewals. The individual will serve as a subject matter expert on local rules, laws, and exemptions, with a strong focus on the National Electrical Code (NEC) and related standards in key jurisdictions. Staying informed about changes in licensing regulations and industry standards is critical to this position to support the company’s legal and operational requirements. Requirements

  • Must possess a valid electrical license in required states and municipalities.
  • Knowledgeable in local and state electrical codes and regulations.
  • Must be in good standing with licensing authorities.
  • Strong communication skills must be able to clearly communicate regulatory requirements and recommendations.
  • Ability to maintain a high sense of urgency and focus on customer service.
  • Ability to approach business and compliance issues with enthusiasm, recognizing the potential for growth in both profit and revenue, as well as limiting the liability for Telamon.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of related experience as a General Contractor in the Commercial and/or Wireless Construction Field.
  • Current and active electrical contractor license in the state(s) where the company operates.
  • Valid Driver License for the State of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the license holder for the company’s electrical contractor license to meet state and local regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee all company electrical projects to ensure adherence to licensing, regulatory, and safety standards established by relevant authorities.
  • Conduct periodic consultations, compliance reviews, and necessary signoffs to verify that projects meet legal and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and current licensing records in accordance with local and state regulations. Assist with preparing reports for management or regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Monitor changes in electrical codes and regulations to ensure the company’s ongoing compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations, including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure all construction teams comply with Telamon’s Safety and Health Program including proper escalation and communication of all accidents, injuries, near misses and other safety concerns.
