About The Position

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered. This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Electrical Components and Data Sheets
  • Experience with Test Reports in systems, electrical, mechanical, or test engineering.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools, such as MiniTab.
  • Experience with simulation programs like LTSpice.
  • Experience with selection and alternate sourcing of components, obsolescence, failure analysis, cross functional communications.
  • Verification and Validation of Data experience.
  • Product Lifecycle and its management experience.
  • FPGA knowledge is a plus.
  • Involvement or knowledge of Military and Industry Standards and Specifications.
  • Risk management experience: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and opportunities.
  • Previous work experience in systems, electrical, mechanical, or test engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of component qualification test plans, data validation and test supplier communication that meet customer requirements and align with program goals.
  • Work closely with other electrical engineers, team members, stakeholders and customers to ensure clear communication and collaboration, fostering a cohesive, solution-focused environment across multiple disciplines that ensures coordination and alignment of components for on-time qualification prior to mass production.
  • Evaluate design alternatives, technologies, and methodologies to optimize system performance and cost-effectiveness by performing Failure and Root Cause Analysis and corrective action on assigned programs.
  • Generate documentation that meets customer needs by working with your team to maintain, improve, and develop processes that support customer requirements and meet certification standards—all while ensuring the functionality as intended and stays compliant quality standards.
