About The Position

C2O Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to support a major LNG facility project in Southern Louisiana. The Electrical Lead will be responsible for overseeing electrical commissioning, startup, testing, energization, and operational readiness activities for high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems. This role will coordinate closely with engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, vendors, and client representatives to ensure safe and successful project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial, power generation, or energy infrastructure project experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical commissioning, startup, testing, energization, or operations support.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, protection systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and associated equipment.
  • Familiarity with applicable industry standards, including NFPA 70E, IEEE, NETA, and NEC requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary EPC project environments.

  • LNG project experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical commissioning, startup, energization, and operational readiness activities for assigned project systems.
  • Develop and execute electrical commissioning procedures, test plans, switching procedures, and startup documentation.
  • Coordinate electrical system turnover, inspection, testing, and acceptance activities.
  • Manage energization planning and execution for substations, switchgear, transformers, motor control centers (MCCs), UPS systems, and associated electrical equipment.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, vendors, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure project readiness and successful startup execution.
  • Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, punch list management, and system acceptance activities.
  • Participate in readiness reviews, risk assessments, lockout/tagout planning, and electrical safety programs.
  • Monitor project progress and provide status reporting, forecasts, and commissioning metrics to project leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with project safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to electrical safety standards and industry best practices.
