About The Position

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Electrical Cognizant System Engineer/Technical Authority opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN at the Y-12 National Security Complex. As a Cognizant System Engineer/Technical Authority for assigned systems, the selected candidate will perform tasks such as coordinating configuration management activities, assessing system health and performance, and providing overall technical responsibility for plant system operability and maintenance activities. This role involves working in conjunction with the Configuration Management program, preparing configuration control/design change packages, evaluating the impact of proposed changes on safety authorization bases, and performing troubleshooting and improvement activities. The position requires applying systems and equipment expertise to resolve technical issues in cooperation with other disciplines.

Requirements

  • ABET accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • A minimum of 10 years direct experience
  • Knowledge of electrical systems
  • United States Citizenship
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOE Q Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred knowledge in one of the following: manufacturing process equipment, industrial electrical equipment, facility related electrical systems, electromagnetics, electrostatic discharge, and/or lightning protection
  • Active Q clearance preferred

Responsibilities
