In this role, you will help the Project Manager oversee the day-to-day operations, coordinate workers, materials, and equipment. This role ensures that specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Requirements

  • Qualified Journeyman Electrician with 3+ years of commercial electrical construction experience.
  • Strong ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents.
  • Familiarity with change order processes and project revisions.
  • Experience with vendor and subcontractor coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license.
  • Must have positive points on state driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
  • Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman Electrician card is a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, BuildOps, or similar) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing commercial electrical projects from start to finish.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and construction documents.
  • Support the change order process, including documentation, tracking, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Manage and communicate revisions to project plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Help manage field manpower, including scheduling and productivity tracking.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and milestones to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates to the project team.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Follow instructions from senior project managers and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
