We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Electrical Assembly II (Electro‑Mechanical Assembler) to perform routine to moderately complex electro‑mechanical builds, wiring, repairs, and inspections in support of Navy and defense‑related systems. This S2 skill‑level role requires the ability to follow established work instructions, correctly interpret engineering drawings, and apply standard assembly techniques under limited supervision.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electro‑mechanical assembly
  • Minimum of 2 years of production hand‑soldering experience
  • Experience with electromechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
  • Ability to obtain required certifications for IPC‑A‑620, J‑STD‑001, and IPC‑A‑610 (training may be provided)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working to IPC‑A‑620, J‑STD‑001, and IPC‑A‑610 workmanship criteria
  • Experience in defense manufacturing, AS9100, or ISO‑certified production environments
  • Experience with cable and harness fabrication, CCA assembly, or basic electrical testing
  • Experience working in a high‑performing team environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform system‑level and subassembly‑level builds involving small‑gauge wiring, soldering, crimping, and cable routing following engineering schematics and work instructions.
  • Assemble, rework, and upgrade electro‑mechanical products in accordance with MIL‑STD drawings, Raytheon process specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Support mechanical and electrical assembly of shipboard hardware, including chassis, wiring harnesses, through‑hole CCAs, and component board assemblies.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, wire lists, and connector pin‑outs for routine to moderately complex assemblies.
  • Perform in process checks, visual inspections, and functional testing to verify compliance with engineering documentation and customer requirements
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, including traveler sign‑offs and inspection records.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work area by following all safety protocols, ESD requirements, and company policies.
  • Work effectively within a fabrication and repair environment and support daily production schedules.
  • Lift and move components up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive tasks while standing or sitting for extended periods.
