About The Position

This position is for an Electrical Assembler I on the 2nd shift, working Monday-Thursday from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM. The role involves performing specific tasks such as soldering, hardware installation, and post-coating under close supervision. The assembler will inspect their own work to ensure it meets quality standards, engineering requirements, and design specifications, while also adhering to productivity expectations to meet customer deadlines. The role requires compliance with all Raytheon Technologies' rules and regulations, including Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics and Compliance, Quality, and attendance. Participation in cost reduction, continuous improvement plans, and audits is expected. The assembler will acquire necessary skills, knowledge, and certifications through required training. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and reporting work progress to leads or supervisors are also key duties. The position may involve standing or sitting for 8+ hours and is eligible for overtime. A soldering assessment must be passed after training.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent (e.g., G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
  • Must be able to train on 1st shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform soldering, hardware installation, and post-coating.
  • Inspect own work to ensure quality, conformity to workmanship standards, engineering requirements, and design specifications.
  • Perform in accordance with productivity expectations to meet customer deadlines.
  • Comply with all rules and regulations of Raytheon Technologies (Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics and Compliance, Quality, attendance).
  • Participate in cost reduction plans and continuous improvement plans/events.
  • Participate in audits.
  • Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certifications and complete trainings as required.
  • Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates.
  • Complete assigned tasks within the scope and skill level of the job description.
  • Pass a soldering assessment after training.
