About The Position

SIG SAUER, Inc. Assemblers receive, assemble, disassemble, refinish, reassemble, perform final assembly, inspection, and ready various firearms for quality testing. This is a Non-Exempt position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically requires no previous experience.
• Must be able to read and understand work instructions in English.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to demonstrate a continued desire to learn and interpret information clearly and accurately.
• Receive, and interpret information clearly, accurately, thoroughly, and effectively encompassing all interpersonal, cross-functional, and peer group settings.
• Ability to work in a team environment, share information, respect, and assist other team members.

Nice To Haves

• Some experience reading drawings is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all department-related assembly tasks as directed by the department Lead/Supervisor or an appointed representative.
• Product assembly includes, but is not limited to, piece part preparation, slide assembly, frame assembly, configuration modification, various firearm assembly, product packaging, and magazine assembly.
• Complete all assembly assignments through the interpretation and comprehension of written and verbal instructions.
• Use small hand tools and machinery, requiring manual dexterity and basic safety awareness.
• Participate in 5S workplace organizational activities and maintain their working area in good working order through sustainment activities.
• May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
• May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
• Participate in all required activities, and other duties as assigned.
