Piper Electric, a Crete United company, is hiring Electrical Apprentices, particularly those in their third or fourth year. Apprentices assist electricians with daily assignments, from morning roll-out through job-site clean-up, while learning the basics of electricity. The work involves installing or maintaining approved wiring methods for systems in existing buildings and new construction in industrial occupancies, including oil-field electrical work. This is an opportunity for a self-motivated person who can work with minimal supervision and wants to progress toward becoming a licensed Journeyman Electrician. The company also describes opportunities to advance to leading crews as a Journeyman. Pay is listed at $22–$36 per hour, depending on experience; the range or title may differ if the role is filled at another experience level.
