Reworld is offering an Electrical and Instrument Technician (E&I Technician) Apprentice program, a 16-20 week paid apprenticeship designed to develop in-depth technical expertise. The program includes hands-on training at a Technical Training Center in Tampa, FL (8 weeks), an online training curriculum, and on-the-job training at the Alexandria Facility. Apprentices are eligible for travel and expense reimbursement. Upon successful completion, participants are prepared for a full-time Electrical and Instrument Technician position at the Alexandria Facility. The learning experience will be varied, incorporating in-person classroom instruction, computer-based training, and hands-on training under the supervision of a dedicated field trainer or shift supervisor. The E&I Tech Apprentice will assist with basic electrical and electronic work in the maintenance of motors, control centers, and electrical fixtures to support facility operations, ensuring the plant runs in compliance with production schedules and requirements, adhering to National and Local Electrical Codes. Upon graduation, the E&I Technician will work safely in a small team to maintain all phases of electrical switchgear (high and low voltage) and all electrical equipment throughout the plant. The technician must possess strong communication skills for problem-solving, be a self-starter, and prioritize work based on plant production needs. This role requires independent work with minimal assistance and a thorough understanding of electrical equipment safety procedures. The E&I Technician will participate in daily preventative, scheduled, and corrective maintenance activities in a safe, effective, and timely manner at an electrical generation facility, including maintenance of boilers and associated electrical equipment.
