About The Position
As the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor, you will plan, design, and implement maintenance programs to optimize the availability and productivity of manufacturing facilities and equipment. You will develop the maintenance team, resolve operational challenges, and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards. The position is onsite at PPG's Barberton, Ohio plant and reports to the Sr. Project Engineer.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of maintenance experience.
- Experience planning and managing maintenance schedules for complex systems.
- Experience with ControlLogix and Allen Bradley ladder logic.

Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate maintenance engineering work, including reviewing mechanical and electrical engineering specifications.
- Review proposed new equipment designs to assess reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts.
- Liaise with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections, and the supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules.
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Implement management decisions through the work of staff.
- Carry out policies and procedures passed down by management.
- Develop the maintenance team, resolve operational challenges, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
