About The Position

The Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor plans, designs, and implements maintenance programs to optimize the availability and productivity of manufacturing facilities and equipment. The role develops the maintenance team, resolves operational challenges, and ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards. This position is onsite at PPG’s Barberton, Ohio plant and reports to the Sr. Project Engineer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Experience planning and managing maintenance schedules for complex systems.
• Experience with ControlLogix and Allen-Bradley ladder logic.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate maintenance engineering work, including reviewing mechanical and electrical engineering specifications.
• Review proposed new equipment designs to assess reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts.
• Coordinate with production staff on repair work, statutory safety inspections, and the supply of new plant and equipment in relation to production schedules.
• Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Implement management decisions through the work of staff.
• Carry out policies and procedures passed down by management.
