Polestar Electric Vehicle Technician
About The Position
Polestar of San Diego is seeking a fully trained Electric Vehicle Technician to join its independent workshop. The technician will perform maintenance, service, and repairs on electric motor vehicles to a high standard, while meeting manufacturer-scheduled times and maintaining accurate records. The role requires electrical and hybrid vehicle experience, strong technical knowledge, effective customer service, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy workshop. The position is based at the Polestar San Diego Service Department in San Diego, California, and requires work Monday through Friday. The location is described as a brand-new facility with brand-new equipment.
Requirements
- Previous electrical or hybrid vehicle experience and in-depth electrical technical knowledge.
- Electric/hybrid training qualification.
- Five years of experience in an OEM dealer environment.
- ASE A6 certification or OEM Electrical Certification.
- Proficiency and comfort using a laptop for diagnostics.
- Good customer service skills and technical knowledge.
- Valid California driver license in good standing, with an acceptable safe driving record.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Ability to produce high-quality work in a busy motor trade environment.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday.
- Teamwork, initiative, flexibility, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

- Complete work effectively while adhering to manufacturer-scheduled times.
- Record diagnosis details, completed work, and components used in accordance with group and manufacturer standards.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe from health and safety hazards.

- Maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Take responsibility for the quality and quantity of work and meet set targets.
