About The Position

The EPG Rental Technician is responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing EPG rental equipment for power, temperature control, air, pumps and used equipment, at a Carter or customer facility. Carter Machinery offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus for new hires in this role. Requirements

Thorough understanding of Gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, and pumps.
Advanced troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Strong communication skills with excellent oral and written communication.
Well organized with the ability to prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service.
Experience in the use and application of electronic software.
Excellent driving record required with the ability to obtain a CDL and/or DOT certification.
High school diploma or GED, required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with UPS and parallels, diagnosing and troubleshooting engine failures and performing mechanical repairs to electrical generator systems and related equipment.

Responsibilities

Servicing, diagnosing, and repairing EPG rental equipment for power, temperature control, air, pumps and used equipment, at a Carter or customer facility.
Performing product improvement plans on Gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, pups, UPS and paralleling.
Working independently in the field as needed to support all PSD rental equipment.
Providing after-hours emergency service requests for customers; 24/7/365.
Working additional hours as required and traveling out of town, including out of the country to meet customers’ demands.
