About The Position

The Teacher helps the Lead Teacher plan and implement the daily program for children and supervises the class when the Lead Teacher is out of the room. The role also supports meals, safety, and maintaining a clean and orderly room and Center. An Aide or Assistant Teacher may also assist in the classroom. The position is part of a play-based early childhood program focused on providing children with a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. The company describes its curriculum as supporting holistic child development and preparing children for school and lifelong learning.

Requirements

Experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Coursework or a degree in early childhood education or child development, or a CDA.
Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
Flexibility with work hours and schedule.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Ensure the daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and company standards.
Help maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
Supervise the classroom according to the Lead Teacher’s plans when the Lead Teacher is out of the room.
Attend staff training sessions, meetings, and programs sponsored by the Center, as required.
Help prepare meals and snacks, feed children, and model table manners at family-style meals.
Perform other related duties as requested by a Lead Teacher or Center Director.
