The Elections Division of the County Clerk-Recorder's Office is preparing for the November 3, 2026, Gubernatorial Election and is hiring six (6) intermittent Elections Warehouse Workers. Help support an election that serves every voter across Ventura County's 10 cities. Incumbents must be willing and able to work during the election cycle and must be able to work on October 31, November 1, 2, and 3. Assignments may last from several weeks to several months, depending on operational needs and voter turnout. These are intermittent (extra-help) positions and are not eligible for County benefits. Intermittent employees may work up to 1,664 hours per fiscal year. As an Elections Warehouse Worker, you will perform the manual and clerical work required for the operation of a warehouse including receiving, transporting, stocking, issuing, shipping, inventorying, assembling, packaging, and record keeping. Perform varied inventory management duties in support of multiple functional areas of a central warehouse unit. Ideal candidates must be willing and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment; be flexible and available for overtime, evening and weekend work; perform routine and repetitive tasks while standing for long periods of time; lift 40 to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day; be adaptable and maintain attention to detail, time sensitive setting in close working conditions; and, communicate and interact effectively with supervisors, peers and others departments.
