About The Position

The Elections Analyst 2 position for the PA Department of State is a crucial role focused on ensuring the smooth operation of elections across the Commonwealth. This role involves guiding important election processes that affect every voter and supporting the Assistant Chief of the Division of Election Administration with operations, including candidate nomination petitions and papers. The position aims to enhance statewide election readiness by supporting key election operations and keeping counties informed and prepared throughout the election cycle, with a particular focus on guiding nomination processes and county communications.

Requirements

  • One year as an Elections Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Two years of professional experience evaluating public programs or information technology systems, and a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, public policy, political science, or information technology; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • One year of project management experience involving leading a team of professionals and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the county liaison program and guide its activities.
  • Hold weekly meetings and trainings for liaison staff.
  • Develop newsletters, memorandums, and emails for counties.
  • Track statutory and administrative deadlines in the election calendar.
  • Oversee nomination materials, filings, and related training resources.
  • Analyze laws, policies, and forms and recommend updates.
