About The Position

Election Workers are expected to interact with voters upon arrival to the polling location, process their application to vote, issue a ballot, and assist with the tabulation of the ballot. Election Workers must be able to work as part of a team to successfully conduct all aspects of the election process. Shift times for each election worker position vary depending on the assignment but all workers must commit to working the entire shift. The City Clerk's Office provides anticipated start and end times for the assigned shift but these should not be considered firm unless given instruction by the Clerk's staff. Workers are expected to be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time throughout their shift; as well as set-up and take down voting booths and voting equipment. Additionally, workers may be asked to lift ballot bags weighing approximately 50 lbs.
