About The Position
AlphaGov is engaging an experienced consultant for current state work involving modernization of a state board of elections’ voter registration and election administration systems. The role is project-based and remote-first, with occasional client travel. Scope, schedule, and fee are confirmed with the consultant before an engagement begins. With the consultant’s authorization, AlphaGov may identify them as an expert collaborator or key personnel on relevant proposals.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience with election administration or statewide voter registration systems.
- Knowledge of HAVA and NVRA requirements.
- Comfort working as a 1099 project-based consultant.
Nice To Haves
- Election security or CISA experience.
- Former state or county election official experience.
- PMP.
Responsibilities
- Assess voter registration, list maintenance, and election management workflows.
- Define requirements for statewide voter registration system modernization.
- Advise on HAVA and NVRA requirements, security requirements, and integrations with DMV, ERIC, and vital records.
- Support vendor evaluation, implementation planning, and testing.
- Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when authorized to be named.
