About The Position

The key role of this position is to support the MarineNet eLearning Ecosystem (eLE) and Learning Management System (LMS) by tracking and analyzing technical issues, defects, and updates using Jira and Confluence. This involves assisting in identifying and managing system requirements to improve workflows and functionality, as well as reviewing technical documentation and maintaining the eLE site via Adobe Experience Manager. In this role, you’ll provide operational expertise to Marine Corps programs, ensuring robust functionality and issue resolution within the eLE platform. Additionally, you’ll communicate updates on system changes, courses, and policy revisions to training managers while coordinating with stakeholders to maintain an effective learning environment. The position demands working independently and collaboratively to achieve compliance, operational goals, and system improvements that benefit the Marine Corps and its sister services.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with LMS or eLearning platforms in a support or development capacity
  • Experience reviewing, editing, and providing electronic feedback on technical documentation and drawings
  • Experience maintaining and managing websites or platforms using tools such as Adobe Experience Manager or content management systems
  • Knowledge of MarineNet systems
  • Ability to review and assist with daily service support requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues
  • Ability to ensure compliance with Marine Corps policies for personnel roles and governance
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Educational Technology

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting military training programs or working with Department of Defense systems, including MarineNet
  • Experience conducting Government Acceptance Testing (GAT) or with QA testing in LMS and eLE
  • Experience in web design or with programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to assist with LMS-related updates or resolving defects
  • Experience with Marine Corps policies and procedures for MarineNet eLearning environments
  • Ability to develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for technical platforms and processes
  • Ability to identify, track, and resolve complex user support or system issues within LMS or eLearning environments
  • Possession of excellent communication and coordination skills, to work effectively with internal and external entities and stakeholders to create an optimal learning environment
  • Master’s degree in IT, Educational Technology, or a related field
  • LMS Platforms, Adobe Experience Manager, or Project Management Certifications such as Jira Administrator Certification
