About The Position

This part-time, hourly role provides 24/7 in-home support for a woman who needs consistent, hands-on assistance with daily needs. The Caregiver/CNA helps support the client’s physical well-being, emotional comfort, dignity, and quality of life in a calm, respectful, patient-centered environment. Experience in hospice, palliative, or long-term care is identified as ideal, particularly familiarity with the sensitivities of end-of-life support. The position is in the client’s home in Watertown, Wisconsin, and offers flexible daytime hours based on the applicant’s availability, with hours available up to full time. Compensation is $16.32–$17.32 per hour. New hires who complete CDCP training may receive up to $500 in training and retention bonuses during their first six months. Consumer Direct Care Network assists the Member or Managing Party with recruiting; if hired, the Member or Managing Party—not CDCN—will be the legal employer and has sole authority to hire or dismiss the worker.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving experience; elderly care is preferred.
Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
Strong communication skills, kindness, and dependability.
Must pass caregiver and criminal background checks.

Nice To Haves

CNA certification is preferred but not required.
Experience in hospice, palliative, or long-term care, with understanding of end-of-life support.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on assistance with daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
Assist with toileting, repositioning, catheter and ostomy care, and use of medical equipment.
Prepare meals, assist with feeding, and perform light household tasks such as laundry and sweeping.
Accompany the client to appointments or outings using a handicap-accessible van.
Maintain clear communication with the care team.
