ELA Teacher (5-8)
About The Position
Sage Connections is hiring a full-time W-2 ELA Teacher to provide school-based services for the 2026–2027 school year, teaching students in grades 5–8. The position is onsite in Ohio, runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and is scheduled for 37.5–40 hours per week. The stated dates are ASAP through May 2027. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging English Language Arts lessons aligned with state standards, collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student growth, maintain accurate student progress and participation records, and create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment. Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, English Language Arts, or a related field.
- Valid Ohio teaching license for grades 5–8 in English Language Arts.
- Strong classroom management and instructional differentiation skills.
- Ability to support students with varying reading, writing, and language proficiency levels and backgrounds.
- Passion for developing students’ reading comprehension, writing, critical thinking, communication skills, and lifelong appreciation for literature and language.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in middle or high school settings is preferred.
