About The Position
The EKG technician assumes responsibility and accountability for performing electrocardiograms on customers ranging in age from infant to the aged. The EKG technician is responsible for processing EKGs performed by the Cardiovascular Laboratory and other departments in the hospital. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within.
Requirements
- Successful completion of EKG Program
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
Responsibilities
- Performing electrocardiograms on customers ranging in age from infant to the aged.
- Processing EKGs performed by the Cardiovascular Laboratory and other departments in the hospital.
- Performing other related duties incidental to the work described within.
