EKG Technician/Phlebotomist - Lab - Medical Hills - Bloomington - PRN (As Needed)
About The Position
Christie Clinic's Laboratory department is hiring a PRN (as-needed) EKG Technician/Phlebotomist at the Medical Hills clinic in Bloomington, Illinois. The role is scheduled between Monday and Friday, 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and may require occasional travel to other clinics to support the laboratory department. Mileage for travel is reimbursed after submission to a supervisor. The technician performs phlebotomy, EKG testing, and related examinations on patients according to established standards and practices. The position involves working in a laboratory setting, with possible exposure to communicable diseases and electrical hazards. Work requirements may include irregular hours.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Completion of phlebotomy and EKG courses, or one year of experience in place of the courses.
- CPR.
- Ability to meet the role's physical and vision requirements, including lifting up to 35 pounds, and manual dexterity to operate office equipment.

Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture for patients of all age groups.
- Perform EKGs.
- Conduct laboratory safety audits.
- Manage inventory of general laboratory supplies.
- Maintain laboratory records and files.
- Train new personnel when needed.
- Travel to other laboratory locations when required; mileage is reimbursed after submission to a supervisor.
- Perform related work as required.
