About The Position
Following established ECH guidelines, the EKG Technician records electrocardiograms and sets up Holter Monitors and Signal Average EKGs for both in and outpatients and for the Emergency Department, as ordered by the attending physician. This is an enterprise position. Will be expected, as needed, to accept work assignments across departments or El Camino Hospital campuses (Mountain View and Los Gatos) or locations within a 15-mile radius.
Requirements
- 2 yrs of college or enrollment in an accredited Medical technology program
- Minimum one (1) year clinical experience in EKG and/or an EKG externship certification
- Basic CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Holter Monitor and Signal Average preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer and/or typing skills preferred
Responsibilities
