About The Position
As an EKG Tech, you will perform diagnostic electrocardiograms (EKGs) to assess cardiac function. Every day you will prepare patients, explain procedures, and accurately operate EKG machines to record heart activity, ensuring comfort and high-quality readings. To be successful, you will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, meticulous data collection, and excellent patient communication, contributing to accurate cardiac diagnostics.

Responsibilities
- Assists physician with electromyography.
- Places the patient on the examination table and explains procedure.
- Performs standard and complex electroencephalographic recordings.
- Keeps equipment in a clean operating condition.
- Troubleshoots and repairs minor malfunctions in the equipment.
- Initiates repair of malfunctioning equipment.
- Practices strict ethical enforcement of protected medical and employee confidentiality.
- Uses confidential information only as needed to perform legitimate duties.
- Transports patients, maintaining safety and comfort.
- Authorized to make entries in the medical record, consistent with and limited to the scope of the job duties and any applicable licensure.
