About The Position

Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (“DGOC”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Diversified Energy Company PLC. DGOC is an established owner and operator of producing natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin. This role is a safety-focused position with additional responsibilities to provide environmental support on a periodic basis. Growth opportunities are influenced by a willingness to become proficient in broad Environmental, Health and Safety roles. Special focus will initially be placed on maintaining a strong bias for action and field presence, understanding operational safety challenges, and collaboratively developing solutions. The EH&S Specialist will provide EH&S support to assigned assets, participate in and lead enterprise-wide strategic programs and projects, and serve as a conduit for all incidents, near misses, Good Catches, and Stop Work Expectations within their area of responsibility, managing them through the Novara system for corrective action and closure. The role involves performing engaging field visits, assessments, inspections, training, and project management, providing effective and engaging training, and offering guidance and assistance to field operations and leaders. The specialist will assess safety needs, systematically address identified issues, and collaborate on creative solutions. The position is primarily self-directed, contributing to and influencing team priorities, seeking others' ideas, and motivating teams. Fostering trust through relationship building and providing mentorship in safety and environmental matters is key. Knowledge of SPCC, Erosion and Sedimentation Control, and Emergency Response procedures is required, along with the ability to make recommendations based on anticipated work, business impact, and risks.

Requirements

3 to 5 years of oil and gas experience with safety and environmental responsibilities is required.
Strong working knowledge of all computer tools including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Co-Pilot, Business Intelligence Dashboards and metrics is required.
Must be able to present EHS training topics in an engaging manner, based on experience presenting in front of large groups
Good working knowledge of spill clean-up regulations, policies and procedures with the ability to respond in a timely manner to help operations evaluate, mitigate, and remediate spills.
Willingness to learn broad environmental and regulatory topics through immersion.
Basic understanding of oil and gas operations and implications for compliance with environmental, health and safety laws.
Understanding of oil and gas operations, including equipment nomenclature and typical usage.
Effective project management, business writing, presentation, training and leadership capabilities.
Be an ASP, CSP, CHSO or have a safety certification, or be in the process of becoming certified. At a minimum, must be willing to seek safety credentials, preferably a CSP.
Have direct experience with incident investigations and corrective action development.
Spill management and cleanup experience.
Have proven versatility and ability to adapt rapidly to business conditions

Nice To Haves

Experience with AI tools is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health, Safety, or related discipline is desired.
Safety-focused coursework is preferred.
Having both environmental and safety experience is strongly preferred.
