About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting projects, processes, and initiatives within the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) function. The intern will gain exposure to environmental, health, safety, and regulatory activities while assisting with day-to-day responsibilities and special projects that support organizational objectives. This internship is based out of Maumee, OH. Housing may be provided for qualified candidates.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in EHS-related field, including Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, etc.
• Sophomore standing required; junior standing strongly preferred
• Willingness to travel regionally for business purposes
• 0-2 years’ relevant experience required

Responsibilities

• Develop a foundational understanding of EHS operations, programs, and business practices.
• Support environmental, health, safety, and compliance-related projects and initiatives.
• Assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support EHS programs and objectives.
• Create and maintain reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other documentation related to departmental initiatives.
• Conduct research and summarize findings related to environmental, safety, regulatory, or operational topics.
• Collaborate with team members and business partners to support ongoing projects and continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist with process documentation, audits, inspections, training activities, and program administration as assigned.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives that support departmental goals and priorities.
