About The Position

Bunzl North America is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern for summer 2026. This internship focuses on updating EHS policies, procedures, and documentation, as well as assisting with audit templates and guidelines. It offers hands-on experience with EHS programs, regulatory compliance, and corporate safety documentation within a professional business setting. The internship is for 8-12 weeks, with flexible dates, and a full-time schedule of Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with onsite work Monday-Thursday and remote work on Fridays.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Ability to format and edit professional documents efficiently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Interest in workplace safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

Previous internship or coursework related to EHS, safety, or compliance
Familiarity with audits, risk assessments, or regulatory frameworks (e.g., OSHA, EPA)
Experience working with policy or technical documentation

Responsibilities

Assist with reviewing, updating, and organizing EHS policies, procedures, and related documentation
Support the development and maintenance of audit templates, checklists, and guidelines
Help ensure EHS documents are current, accurate, and aligned with internal standards and regulatory requirements
Organize and maintain digital records and files within document management systems
Collaborate with EHS team members and other departments as needed
Participate in meetings, training sessions, and special EHS-related projects
