About The Position

The EHS Coordinator supports DPR’s commitment to a safe and healthy work environment by assisting with implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices for Self-Perform Work (SPW) operations. The role helps identify and resolve potential hazards, minimize risk, and support compliance with established policies and procedures. The coordinator collaborates with SPW team members to promote awareness and understanding of workplace safety protocols, maintains accurate records, and provides timely communication and support to employees, craft professionals, and stakeholders to strengthen safety and environmental performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.

Nice To Haves

• 0–2 years of experience in environmental, health and safety, construction, industrial, manufacturing, or a related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety training.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, or Naloxone Administration certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine inspections, audits, risk assessments, and other administrative EHS tasks, including onboarding activities, for SPW operations.
• Support the investigation and documentation of incidents, near-misses, workplace hazards, and SPW-related safety observations.
• Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Communicate safety procedures, work practice requirements, and updates to employees and craft professionals to promote understanding and adherence.
• Coordinate distribution and tracking of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety materials for SPW personnel.
• Participate in emergency response drills and support implementation and tracking of corrective actions.
• Contribute to reports and summaries related to SPW safety performance, internal reviews, and compliance requirements.
