About The Position

The EHS Coordinator assumes responsibility for managing and updating contractor compliance portals, processing and maintaining employee background, drug, and alcohol screenings, and overseeing record retention for training and certification. This role also involves coordinating employee qualifications and required training for field jobs, attending customer site safety forums, and assisting the Safety Department with audits. A key aspect of this position is driving an exceptional safety culture by encouraging and demonstrating safe behaviors. The ideal candidate can work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and is available for overtime and after-hours emergency calls.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and updating contractor compliance portals to ensure the company is in good standing with customers.
  • Coordinating requests with other departments for contractor compliance.
  • Processing, coordinating, updating, maintaining, and reporting employee background, drug, and alcohol screenings.
  • Ensuring employees are current and in compliance with screenings.
  • Handling agency audits regarding background, drug, and alcohol screenings.
  • Record retention of all types of training and certification records for the company.
  • Organizing, tracking, updating, and reporting on all training and certification records.
  • Coordinating, scheduling, and tracking employee qualifications and required training for field jobs.
  • Attending necessary customer site safety forums, pre-job meetings, and turnaround reviews.
  • Assisting the Safety Department in customer or third-party EHS-related audits.
  • Driving an exceptional safety culture by encouraging and demonstrating safe behaviors.
