About The Position

Novelis is a global aluminum recycling and rolling company and sustainable aluminum solutions provider, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The EHS Coordinator supports environmental, health, and safety programs across manufacturing areas and central services at Novelis’ Bay Minette, Alabama facility. The role helps ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and works with employees, management, and external agencies to minimize risks and improve workplace safety. It also supports safety records, compliance tracking, employee training, reporting, and documentation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two to four years of experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment.
Experience in EHS, compliance, or manufacturing support.
Familiarity with OSHA, First Aid, and other industrial regulations.

Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and organize EHS records and documentation; prepare reports and track key safety and environmental data.
Coordinate meetings, safety committees, and training sessions.
Support and continuously update EHS policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Assist with incident reporting and follow-up documentation.
Conduct basic safety inspections and support waste-disposal tracking and basic environmental compliance tasks.
Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space, Machine Guarding, and PPE compliance programs.
Coordinate employee safety training and toolbox talks to help personnel understand workplace safety requirements.
