About The Position

The EHS Analyst is responsible for supporting and implementing corporate and site-level environment, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives within U.S. manufacturing operations. This role ensures compliance across all U.S. MOBIS production sites with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, supports audit and inspection readiness, and effectively communicates corporate EHS requirements to site stakeholders with clear justification and practical implementation guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety or related field OR an associate’s degree in occupational health & safety
  • Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in a U.S. manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting regulatory inspections and compliance activities involving OSHA, EPA, EPD, and DOT
  • Experience planning and conducting EHS audits, including checklist creation, execution, debriefing, and corrective action tracking.
  • Experience in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 audits.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to translate corporate requirements into clear, effective, and site-applicable guidance with sound justification.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and general U.S. regulatory frameworks
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to internal systems, processes, and organizational changes.
  • Professional demeanor, resilience, and effectiveness in cross-functional multicultural work environments

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Registered Environmental Manager (REM), Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and maintain EHS procedures, standards, policies, and programs in alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare for, support, and respond to inspections and audits by regulatory agencies, including OSHA, EPA, EPD and DOT; manage corrective and preventive actions to closure.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute EHS audits, including audit planning, checklist development, field execution, debriefing, and action item follow-up.
  • Support ISO45001 and ISO14001 management systems, including preparation of audit evidence and documentation for internal, external audits.
  • Identify safety, environmental, and occupational health compliance gaps and risk points across diverse operations and facilities.
  • Recommend effective corrective actions, preventive measures, alternatives, and continuous improvement initiatives to prevent recurrence.
  • Organize, analyze, and communicate corporate EHS directives in a structured and effective manner to site leadership and operational teams.
  • Prepare clear, logical, and well-structured EHS reports, review and revise documents to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Utilize internal company systems and programs effectively for EHS data management, reporting, and document control.
  • Establish, develop, and manage relationships with Hyundai Motor Group affiliates and state, county, and city authorities.
  • Actively participate in EHS meetings across all programs to review affiliate performance
  • Identify, share, and assist in communicating and institutionalizing EHS Best Practices
  • Plan and support EHS campaigns, awareness programs, and engagement events.
