EHR Senior Application Analyst (Beacon)
About The Position
Prime Healthcare is seeking an EHR Senior Application Analyst to design, build, test, train, and support its Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Under minimal direction, the Analyst will help optimize and configure the system and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support effective use of Epic applications, enhance patient care, and improve operational efficiency. The role performs complex design and analysis tasks related to hospital business operations, maintains the system with little or no supervision, and exercises independent judgment in day-to-day support activities. The Analyst also mentors and guides other analysts in their professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Nursing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in Epic applications; any new certifications must be obtained within three months of hire.
- Four years of experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Epic EHR applications.
- Proficiency in system configuration, customization, and optimization within the Epic environment.
- Strong understanding of hospital business operations and structure, clinical workflows, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in healthcare practice.
- Strong computer skills, including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Documented technical expertise in analysis, process design and workflow, research, installation or implementation, and support of EHR systems.
- Ability to independently prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects or priorities.
- Customer-service orientation and excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and take calls as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience implementing or supporting EMR systems with two or more Epic applications.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- PMP certification.
