About The Position

The EHR Instructor serves as a primary course instructor for a variety of EHR courses (minimum of 10) offered to train new or transferring Mayo Clinic employees on EHR functionality. This role also supports specific training events, initiatives, and upgrades. The Instructor will assist with curriculum and end-user resource material design and validation, potentially collaborating with instructional designers. A key aspect of this role is understanding Mayo Clinic workflows and delivering training based on adult learning principles. The Instructor will also provide limited at-the-elbow support and may act as a primary customer relationship manager for assigned service lines, systems, and special projects. Additionally, the Instructor will train and mentor other staff members. If leading instructor-led Epic courses, the EHR Instructor will be credentialed as a trainer through the internal process and should understand virtual classroom management and support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 EHR courses to instruct.
  • Ability to train new or transferring Mayo Clinic employees on EHR functionality.
  • Understanding of Mayo Clinic workflows.
  • Proficiency in standard adult training expectations.
