About The Position

The EHR Contracts Specialist will play a critical role in supporting Veracyte’s contracting needs, with a primary focus on contracting related to the implementation of an electronic medical record (EMR) system. Reporting to the Contracts Counsel, this role will support the drafting, review, and negotiation of various EMR-related agreements, while also supporting broader day-to-day contracting needs across the company. Key responsibilities: Support general contracting for Veracyte at the direction of the Contracts Counsel (e.g., non-disclosure agreements, vendor and services agreements, and other commercial and operational contracts) Partner closely with cross-functional internal stakeholders in engineering, technology, operations, and commercial teams, as well as external EMR implementation partners and other vendors, to build and maintain contract templates, frameworks, and processes that balance risk with business objectives and enable Veracyte’s key initiatives. Work with internal stakeholders to identify contractual risks and propose risk-mitigation solutions Assist in developing templates and playbooks; provide insights to improve Veracyte’s contract management system (currently Ironclad) Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent At least 5 years’ experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry At least 3 years of experience drafting and negotiating agreements related to the implementation of electronic medical record (EMR) systems (experience related to Epic EMR is preferred) Ability to advance practical solutions by analyzing complex issues and taking business/client-focused approach to difficult decisions Exceptional drafting skills with an affinity for using language to achieve compromise Passion for supporting patient care and ability to engage and collaborate with team members to achieve objectives Strong prioritization and time-management skills needed for a fast-paced environment Who You Are: You have initiative, enthusiasm, and resourcefulness You are a team player with a passion for collaboration and patient care Rather than saying "no," you work with your business partners in a collaborative way to find solutions where solutions can be found You are open to growth and learning, and are not afraid to fail and take calculated and appropriate risk by balancing it with business judgment You take pride in developing and enabling the best work of your colleagues. Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry
  • At least 3 years of experience drafting and negotiating agreements related to the implementation of electronic medical record (EMR) systems (experience related to Epic EMR is preferred)
