About The Position

The Configuration Specialist (CS) is responsible for executing technical and configuration requirements necessary for the successful deployment of Office Practicum in either a hosted or self-hosted environment. The Configuration Specialist will collaborate with the assigned Implementation Project Manager (IPM) for the completion of all relevant duties as set forth in the project timeline. This is a client-facing role, therefore, communication skills are imperative.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school or university or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 2 years prior experience with EHR software configuration including new user account creation and role/permission setup, provider setup for e-prescribing, and clearinghouse connections for billing and EDI claim transmissions.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, practice management processes, and system configuration best practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot configuration issues and collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of billing workflows, EDI claim transmissions, 837/835 transactions, and clearinghouse processes.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple high priority tasks in parallel.
  • Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Installation of Office Practicum software on client workstations and devices, the configuration of peripherals, and verification (in collaboration with the client’s IT professional) that all technical services are functional prior to go-live.
  • Installation and configuration of clearinghouse services, e-prescribing services, EPCS, PDMP, Phreesia, OP Mobile, Direct Messaging, eFax, OP Patient Portal services, CHADIS, developed reports and forms, Dashboards, and other services as required (using developed processes and protocols).
  • Database configuration for Practice Management/Billing to include providers and staff, locations, staff/provider directory, insurance plans, CPT codes, birth registry codes and any other setup as required by the project timeline and contracted features.
  • Bootstrapping Data across our internal infrastructure.
  • Database setup and testing of all clearinghouse functions including eCorrespondent and file transfer agent setup for eligibility, claims, remittances, acknowledgment, statement, and payment files.
  • Facilitate the management of client expectations during the implementation process including discussions with IPM regarding potential delays in the implementation as a result of missed or incomplete tasks.
  • In collaboration with IPM and Training team members to provide implementation and go-live support.
  • Update customer case details in Salesforce.
  • Independently manage multiple priorities (i.e. customer sessions, follow-up questions, internal/external support, etc.) while maintaining a high level of service and customer-centric focus.
  • Track and manage configuration tasks to ensure project timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met.
  • Provide timely updates on configuration progress and escalate risks or blockers as needed.
  • Work according to the timeline and expectation designated by the client and effectively address delays or complications.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Implementation Supervisor, Manager, and/or Director.
