About The Position

The EHR Billing Specialist will coordinate the efforts of department staff and assist in performing all functions required for the efficient operation of the billing department. This role emphasizes maintaining a high level of quality and completing assignments in a timely manner. The specialist will communicate effectively with the System Administrator regarding work status and must be able to work additional hours as needed to complete assignments.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain appropriate relationships with people with disabilities and at-risk adolescents utilizing normalization principles
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of CAU staff, members’ families, and within the community
  • Ability to express oneself, both in writing and verbally, in a comprehensive manner, using the English language
  • Good planning and organization skills
  • Proficiency in computer software programs including Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

  • Become proficient in the use of Carelogic.
  • Enter authorizations into Carelogic and Excel tracking spreadsheets.
  • Become proficient in billing and accounts receivable within Carelogic.
  • Comprehensively QA review documentation for identified billable claims.
  • Train billing and AR tasks in Carelogic to CAU and Associate Staff as needed.
  • Run canned and published reports in Carelogic to assist with the billing and payment processes.
  • Assist in troubleshooting billing and payment issues in Carelogic with billing and accounting staff.
  • Prepare Misc. Reports as needed.
  • Perform Quality Assurance checks within Carelogic as requested.
  • Provide back-up assistance with resolving Carelogic ticketing requests.
  • Attend all required meetings, including full-staff meetings during the year held at CAU.
  • Complete all orientation and self-instruct training as required.
  • Utilize the Carelogic Community website to enhance knowledge of Carelogic.
