About The Position

The EHR Application Analyst I supports the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Epic Healthy Planet and Compass Rose applications. The role supports population health, care management, patient outreach, care coordination, chronic disease management, and value-based care programs. Working with clinical, operational, business, and technical teams, the analyst helps gather requirements, improve workflows, troubleshoot application issues, test and validate changes, document workflows, and provide end-user support. The position also supports population health reporting, registries, data validation, upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement while following organizational policies, information security standards, and patient privacy regulations.

Under regular direction, the analyst provides build support for Epic and other clinical applications in response to change requests, maintenance needs, and project demands. The analyst configures, documents, tests, modifies, supports, and maintains applications; builds collaborative relationships with hospital leadership and department users; and helps resolve end-user system issues. Epic or applicable certifications are required within six months of hire. The position may participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.

This is a remote position, with applicants sought from Missouri, Kansas, or Illinois.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Less than two years of experience listed as the minimum requirement.
• Epic or applicable certifications are required within six months of hire.
• Previous Epic Application Analyst experience is sought.

Nice To Haves

• Epic Healthy Planet and/or Compass Rose certifications are highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Two to five years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with configuration, maintenance, and support of Epic Healthy Planet and Compass Rose applications.
• Support population health, care management, patient outreach, and care coordination workflows.
• Troubleshoot application issues and help identify and implement solutions.
• Participate in system upgrades, testing, validation, and application enhancements.
• Collaborate with clinical teams, business stakeholders, IT staff, hospital leadership, and department users to gather requirements and improve workflows.
• Develop and maintain application documentation, workflow diagrams, test scripts, and support materials.
• Assist with end-user training and provide ongoing application support.
• Support population health reporting, registries, and data validation activities.
• Follow organizational policies, information security standards, and applicable patient privacy regulations.
• Participate in project meetings, change management activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in designing, verifying, documenting, amending, and refactoring moderately complex software configurations for deployment.
• Investigate and resolve application issues using agreed procedures, tools, and maintenance tasks.
• Assist with test case and test script design, manual and automated testing, and recording and reporting test outcomes.
• Assist in evaluating design options and prototypes to obtain user feedback and check systems or products for compliance with applicable standards, guidelines, style guides, and legislation.
• Conduct first-line incident investigation, gather information, and help allocate incidents for resolution.
• May participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
