About The Position

Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies. Provide support for EHS programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, Pharmaceutical Handling, Waste management, Emergency Response, Fall Protection. Provides and administers training for fork truck, fire extinguisher, HAZCOM, Lock-out/tag out, confined space, hot work, incident/accident, DOT, RCRA etc. This includes new employee orientation and training. Participates in facility audits to detect existing or potential security, safety, environmental, and health hazards. Recommending and implementing corrective or preventative measures and following up to ensure measures have been implemented. Assist in the development of physical EHS policies, standards and procedures. Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS management systems. Maintains and monitors the following and other programs as necessary: SDS Database, Potent compound control, waste handling, LOTO, machine guarding, compliance training. Maintains accurate recordkeeping for all regulatory agencies including OSHA, EPA, DEP, DOT etc. Assists with the investigation of Safety, Security and DEP incidents as necessary. Provides backup coverage for the facility Waste Handler when needed.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Experience with EHS programs (LOTO, Hazard Communication, Pharmaceutical Handling, Waste management, Emergency Response, Fall Protection).
  • Ability to administer training on various safety topics.
  • Experience in conducting facility audits.
  • Ability to recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • Skills in developing EHS policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Experience with EHS management systems.
  • Proficiency in maintaining SDS databases and other EHS-related programs.
  • Experience in recordkeeping for regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, DEP, DOT).
  • Ability to investigate safety, security, and DEP incidents.
  • Willingness to provide backup coverage for waste handling.
