About The Position

The EH&S Manager will identify, develop, and establish systems to ensure company-wide compliance with all applicable regulations, both voluntary and compulsory. This role involves interfacing with regulatory and public sector agencies and developing a culture of high performance and employee engagement. The manager will facilitate discussions to understand employee goals, create an environment of open communication, and make well-informed decisions. Responsibilities include coordinating and managing the resolution of environmental health and safety incidents, leading the development and implementation of corporate safety strategy, ensuring accurate record keeping, leading the development of site emergency programs, overseeing safety committees, conducting reviews with site leadership, and participating in industry groups to stay current on best practices. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage resolution of environmental health and safety incidents using advanced methodologies.
  • Lead the development and implementation of corporate safety strategy across all companies and locations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely record keeping and document management.
  • Lead the development, review and implementation of site emergency programs.
  • Oversee the implementation, support and guidance of safety committees.
  • Conduct regular reviews with site leadership and prioritize issues.
  • Participate in industry and professional interest groups to stay current on best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
