About The Position

The EH&S Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and establishing systems for company-wide compliance with all applicable regulations, both voluntary and compulsory. This role involves interfacing with regulatory and public sector agencies. The manager will also develop a culture of high performance and employee engagement by inspiring, developing, and motivating internal talent, facilitating discussions about professional goals, and creating an environment of open communication. They will coordinate and manage the resolution of environmental health and safety incidents, lead the development and implementation of corporate safety strategy, and ensure accurate record keeping. Additionally, the EH&S Manager will oversee the implementation of site emergency programs, guide safety committees, conduct reviews with site leadership, and participate in industry groups to stay current on best practices. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and establish systems to enable company-wide compliance with all applicable regulations both voluntary and compulsory.
  • Interface with regulatory and public sector agencies as appropriate (e.g., CFR, MDR, MDD, OSHA, ISO).
  • Develop a culture of high performance and employee engagement by inspiring, developing, and motivating internal talent.
  • Facilitate good discussions with employees in order to understand their professional goals and aspirations.
  • Create an environment of open communication that fosters upward feedback and suggestions.
  • Make well informed decisions, demonstrate initiative, exhibit autonomy and execute on organization initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage resolution of environmental health and safety incidents using advanced methodologies as defined by company policy and established practices.
  • Lead the development and implementation of corporate safety strategy across all companies and locations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely record keeping and document management.
  • Lead the development, review and implementation of site emergency programs.
  • Oversee the implementation, support and guide safety committees.
  • Conduct regular reviews with site leadership and prioritize issues.
  • Participate in industry and professional interest groups to stay current on best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
