About The Position

Aviagen USA is seeking an individual to fill the GP Egg Room Supervisor position at its Pikeville, Tennessee egg depot. The supervisor oversees GP egg handling, including receiving eggs, allocating eggs to fill customer orders, and managing inventory. Duties vary according to department needs and may include scheduling and supervising egg room associates, verifying and recording farm pickup counts, preparing customer orders for shipping, maintaining related paperwork and records, and communicating with drivers, contract growers, management, hatchery personnel, and production planning. The position also includes required QA responsibilities and maintaining Safety and ISO records.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Self-motivated, with the ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
Ability to perform physically demanding aspects of the job.
Dependable and able to perform work unsupervised.
Detail-oriented.
Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work flexible hours.

Nice To Haves

College degree or at least two years of college preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule and supervise egg room associates.
Verify egg counts picked up from farms and enter them into the computer system.
Allocate eggs to specific customer orders.
Perform and maintain paperwork associated with customer orders.
Pull together eggs for customer orders and prepare them for shipping, ensuring orders are processed accurately and on time.
Communicate with drivers and contract growers regarding egg pickups.
Maintain open communication with management, hatchery personnel, and production planning.
Perform required QA responsibilities.
Maintain and update Safety and ISO records.
Maintain correct physical inventory.
