About The Position

Aviagen USA is seeking an individual to fill the GP Egg Room Supervisor position at its Pikeville, Tennessee, egg depot. The supervisor oversees GP egg handling, including receiving eggs, allocating eggs to customer orders, and managing inventory. Duties vary according to departmental needs and include supervising egg room associates, coordinating egg pickups, preparing orders for shipping, maintaining required records, and supporting quality assurance.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Self-motivated, with the ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
Able to perform the physically demanding aspects of the job.
Dependable and able to work unsupervised.
Detail-oriented.
Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

College degree or at least two years of college preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule and supervise egg room associates.
Verify egg counts picked up from farms and enter them into the computer system.
Allocate eggs to specific customer orders.
Perform and maintain paperwork associated with customer orders.
Assemble eggs for customer orders and prepare them for shipping, ensuring orders are accurate and processed on time.
Communicate with drivers and contract growers regarding egg pickups.
Maintain open communication with management, hatchery personnel, and production planning.
Perform required quality assurance responsibilities.
Maintain and update safety and ISO records.
Maintain accurate physical inventory.
