About The Position

This role supports the day-to-day operations of First Commerce Credit Union's debit and credit card programs. The EFT Specialist will assist in fraud prevention efforts and ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. This position involves collaboration across teams and vendors to maintain the integrity of card services and protect members. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and enjoys ensuring smooth and secure transactions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of six months' experience in a financial institution required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research account activity
Attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Good judgment and decision-making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Responsibilities

Assist in managing debit and credit card activity, including monitoring transactions, resolving exceptions, and supporting reconciliation processes.
Play a key role in fraud detection and prevention by monitoring trends, preparing reports, and working with internal teams and external partners to address suspicious activity.
Process and manage card disputes, including issuing credits, communicating with members, and coordinating chargebacks with vendors.
Support various transaction processing tasks, including wires, ACH files, and card-related functions.
Serve as a backup for other item processing areas when needed.
Contribute to projects, assist with card reissues, and help maintain efficient workflows across EFT and card services functions.
