This position involves developing a knowledge and understanding of basic electronics, general anatomy and physiology, neuroanatomy and physiology, clinical neurophysiology, and neurophysiological diagnostic procedures and protocols. The EEG Technologist I performs Electroencephalographic (EEG) recordings under direct or indirect supervision on adult and pediatric patients. As skill level increases, may perform complex neurophysiology procedures. Acts as a liaison between the electroencephalographer, physicians and senior technologists to coordinate, perform or provide technical assistance during complex and highly technical procedures. As skill level increases, may train new hires.
