About The Position

The Non-Registered Electroencephalography (EEG) Technician I of the Clinical Neurophysiology Services Department reports to the EEG Coordinator. Under direct supervision of the EEG Coordinator or designee, the EEG Technician I records by means of electronic equipment neurophysiologic potentials for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases and conditions involving the nervous system.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, bachelors degree or an active student in good standing in a CAAHEP accredited EEG program.
  • Must obtain EEG Registry or CNIM within 2 years of board eligibility.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire.
  • Must maintain a Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Extensions of up to a year may be granted in certain circumstance's such as FMLA, pandemic, testing availability or at the discretion of the manager and the Clinical Neurophysiology Medical Director.
  • If Registry is attempted and not passed, you must obtain within six months.
