About The Position

The Alan B. Miller Medical Center, opening in Spring 2026, is a new state-of-the-art neighborhood hospital that will join UHS's growing regional network. This hospital will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building, and a helistop, spanning 365,000 square feet upon completion of the initial phase. It will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Oncology, Cardiovascular, and Neurosurgical services, as well as outpatient services through its medical office buildings. The EEG Tech will be responsible for performing Electroencephalographic exams and other tasks as instructed by the Director, all while maintaining a service-minded culture focused on exceptional patient and customer care. This role involves reducing patient fear and anxiety through clear communication, practicing teamwork, and participating in performance improvement and safety initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Completion of EEG training from an educational institution on EEG application
  • Registry eligible
  • 1 year experience
  • Basic PC knowledge
  • Medical Terminology
  • Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Currently registered or registry eligible with ABRET (American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists) within 2 years of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performing Electroencephalographic exams.
  • Performs other tasks as instructed by Director.
  • Performs all tasks with a service-minded culture to provide exceptional patient and customer care.
  • Help to reduce patient’s or customer’s fear and anxiety by providing clear communication on services and expectation of test.
  • Practice teamwork and participate in performance improvement and safety initiatives at all times.
  • May travel between Alan B Miller Medical Center and Wellington Regional Medical Center to assist with coverage when directed by Cardiopulmonary Director.
