The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) is seeking a collaborative, innovative, and learner-centered educational consultant who is passionate about advancing teaching excellence in higher education. The ideal candidate is an experienced consultant and facilitator who thrives on partnering with faculty, graduate students, and staff to enhance teaching practices, improve student learning, and promote an accessible learning environment. We are looking for someone who combines expertise in learning design, digital pedagogy, learning management systems (e.g. Canvas), accessibility, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) with a curiosity for exploring and applying emerging technologies in higher education. Successful candidates will be skilled at translating complex concepts into practical strategies, developing and facilitating engaging professional development opportunities, and building meaningful relationships across various stakeholder groups. The preferred candidate demonstrates strong communication and project management skills, approaches challenges with creativity and critical thinking, and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. They are committed to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. A passion for helping others navigate the evolving landscape of educational technology and artificial intelligence, while fostering ethical, effective, and student-centered implementation, will be essential for success in this role. If you are energized by supporting faculty success, leading innovative initiatives, influencing positive change through collaboration, and shaping the future of teaching and learning in higher education, we encourage you to apply.
